Cookies Flower Strain Review : Gary Payton

Welcome to the Lakeside Remedy blog, Navigating Legal Marijuana. In this forum, we intend to discuss anything cannabis, with a focus on product description. It’s our hope that this blog acts as a guide for the cannabis consumer in their purchasing decisions. In today’s post we are detailing the strain Gary Payton, bred and grown by Cookies.

Gary Payton is a Hall of Fame Basketball player and the pride of Oakland. If a strain of cannabis is going to be named after him it must Hall of Famer, as well. And this namesake of Gary Payton is just that, a Hall of Fame strain. This Cookies Fam hybrid is a cross of Y and Snowman. Not overly sedative GP offers a well balanced hybrid high, similar to it’s parents.

The buds have a classic look with a mint green color, accented by bright orange pistils and a thick coating of sparkling trichomes. But, it’s the smell and flavor that set this strain apart. The initial smell boasts an herbaceous, resinous scent if juniper with a smooth floral backend. Even in a clogged pipe you found under your passenger seat, Gary Payton shines. Those dry, rubbery flavors carry a dirty hint of juniper and mint, with a tangy sourdough aftertaste. A little more earthy and gassy than Girl Scout Cookies, but noticeably similar.
